Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the Co-occurring Disorders Telehealth Group
1. I completed the interest survey, now what?
Answer: If you are interested in joining the co-occurring disorders (COD) group via telehealth, you will first need to have an intake assessment with one of our providers. This will ensure that the COD group is appropriate for your needs, meaning you have an existing mental health and substance use disorder. (If you are a current Pathways patient, a new intake assessment is not required.)
2. I am ready to have an intake assessment with one of your providers. How would I go about that?
Answer: Please complete our intake forms as we need to verify your health coverage for telehealth.
3. Why do I need to have a good Internet connection, computer with camera & sound or smart phone?
Answer: Since this group is delivered via the Zoom telehealth platform, you will need to use your computer or smart phone to connect with us. You will need to be able to see all of us, hear us and interact with us and with the other participants as well. Your computer or smart phone is your "room" to connect with the group; therefore, a good internet connection or cell reception is necessary.
4. I lived overseas and I am interested in joining this group. How could I join?
Answer: If you are living overseas, you will still need an intake assessment and we need to verify your health coverage and appropriateness for this group. You will also be responsible to arrange your time to account for the time zone difference. We are on Pacific Standard Time (PST). We are physically located in Lacey and Longview, Washington State; please determine the start time for your location.
5. My insurance does not cover telehealth. How could I pay out of pocket?
Answer: The telehealth platform reduces the out-of-pocket cost for this group dramatically. The sliding scale is from $25.00-50.00 per group session (depending on your income). We need to have your credit card on file; if you object to our storing your information securely, you may call our billing office to discuss other financial arrangements at 360-799-5783. You may also communicate with us securely by registering for our secure messaging system, Patient Ally.
6. How do you maintain confidentiality?
Answer: Our telehealth platform is secure, encrypted, and HIPAA compliant in order to protect your confidentiality. Please visit our Telehealth Clinic page to read more about this technology.
